Three years later, our work continues.

Our Ukrainian mothers and children still need our help – and yours.

The war may no longer be making daily headlines, but for thousands of Ukrainian refugees in Romania, the struggle continues. The initial wave of arrivals has slowed, yet the need for language learning, emotional support, and community connection remains urgent.
Every day, families are working to rebuild their lives by learning Romanian, searching for jobs, and trying to heal from trauma. Many children have integrated into local schools, while others continue their education online, maintaining a fragile link to home. But the journey is far from over.

“At our Romanian language courses, we have already learned a lot—we can say something about ourselves, explain to a doctor what hurts, and understand conversations on the street. It's really valuable that the teacher can translate explanations of the material into your native language."

The reality in 2025: The ongoing needs of Ukrainian refugees

While the crisis has shifted, the need has not disappeared. Refugee families are still navigating language barriers, economic struggles, and the emotional toll of war.

With your help, we can continue to provide:

  • Language courses to open doors to independence and employment.
  • Psychological support for children, teens, and parents coping with trauma.
  • Safe spaces where children can learn, play, and heal.
  • Community-building events that foster connection and belonging.

Every donation makes a difference. Your support today helps Ukrainian families build a future full of hope and possibility.

Your support creates a future full of hope

Thanks to you, we were able to exceed our goals for helping children and families in 2024:

Language Courses: more than 130 refugees gained essential Romanian language skills to communicate, work, and integrate into their new communities.
Mental Health Support: 183 adults and children received psychological counseling to navigate trauma and emotional distress.
Educational & Social Support for Children: 50 children participated in structured activities that nurtured their creativity, resilience, and sense of belonging.
Community Events: Refugee families celebrated together through Spring Fest, Children’s Day, Summer Camp, and more—reminders that joy and connection still exist.

Through 699 hours of direct support, we helped refugees regain confidence, independence, and hope.
